A few days ago, my family and I, had a Danish
dish called “Flæskesteg”. For the most part we’ll only eat this dish Christmas Eve,
but sometimes you just have to eat it more than once a year. The dish consist
of; potatoes with gravy, some chips with salt, rødkål with is made of (red) cabbage,
and then of cause the meat with is pork with the skin on it, called Flæskesteg.
Most people eat this dish at Christmas Eve,
other eat duck, or turkey. Flæskesteg is one of our “national dishes”. Most
people also consider “frikadeller” and “stegt flæsk” for being national dishes.
